CFIRE and it’s university and agency partners completed critical work in K through college transportation education and workforce development, innovative and timely freight transportation research, and created working partnerships with transportation agencies at all levels. CFIRE’s work and legacy promotes a multimodal, collaborative approach to freight, economic development, and environmental preservation.
MAFC, originally one of the core programs in CFIRE, remains active and plays an important role in collaborative freight planning, policy, and operations development across the ten MASSTO state. MAFC is one of the longest running and highly successful freight coalitions in the U.S.
