I-70 Corridor Dedicated Truck Lanes

The $3.75 million, two-phased study evaluated the feasibility of adding dedicated truck lanes through Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. The Study evaluate if Dedicated Truck Lanes address the congestion and safety problems and needs on the corridor and improve the regions’ economic competitiveness more than general purpose lanes capacity additions or maintaining the corridor as it is today.  The study included working with a coalition of 4 state DOTs and included outreach and involvement activities to  the MPOs, private sector industries and motor carriers along the corridor.
