Wisconsin Multimodal Freight Network

Ernie Perry

As part of its Freight Mobility Action Agenda, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has established a repository of information about the Multimodal Freight Network in Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Multimodal Freight Network is composed of highways, local roads, rail lines, ports and airports. The network identifies the role of the different transportation facilities in shipping freight to and from Wisconsin. The network will help prioritize Wisconsin’s freight transportation improvement activities in the future.

This repository includes maps of highways, airports, railroads, intermodal facilities, and ports. It also includes commodity profiles for a wide range of commodities and industry maps that show the locations of the state’s largest shippers and receivers and the corridors they use.
For more information, visit the WisDOT Multimodal Freight Network.
